About

What is there to say about me, John A. Lee?  Well, I’m a poet and don’t know it.  Suppose that’s me channeling my inner Dr. Suess.  I’m just selfish enough to start a blog using my name to write about whatever pops into my head.  There’s that.

Professionally, I am card carrying member of the world of search engine marketing. My focus has been on PPC (pay-per-click advertising) and professional blogging mostly, but I am an internet marketing jack-of-all-trades. I am an adept SEO (search engine optimization), I excel at web analytics and most recently have jumped head-first into social media marketing. In my past life, I worked for Hanapin Marketing out of Bloomington, IN. There I had the amazing opportunity to be on the ground floor of two amazing search marketing blogs: PPCHero.com and SEOBoy.com. Now I have the immense pleasure to work for two search marketing power houses:

Clix Marketing: At Clix, I am a Search Marketing Manager working under PPC master-mind David Szetela. I count my lucky stars to work with and be a part of this motley crew of search marketing geniuses!

WordStream: With WordStream, I am the in-house Paid Search Manager. These Boston folks know their SEM and have created an outstanding suite of tools for all of us marketers. I’m proud to be part of WordStream’s amazing growth.

Now the more personal side of things. For those of you who really know me, you realize that I’m capable of writing some pretty zany things.  Rest assured that I’ll probably keep things toned down here since this site is open for all to see.  You know, like PG-13 or so. Beyond that - I’m happily married to my high school sweetheart (insert “ahhh” here if you’re into that sort of thing).  We have a daughter.  She’s the light of my life.  Sweet, beautiful and just as weird as me.  There’s a dog in our life, but I try to forget about that as much as possible.  There’s also 2 cats in there, too.  Though I think they try to forget about us as much as they can.

That about sums it up.  I’m not looking for glory or fame.  Just a slightly off-kilter, creative outlet that anyone who’s interested can follow along with.  What’s life about anyways if you can’t share the journey, right?  Here’s to blogging…
