Can’t Wait For the New Harry Potter Movie! Yeah, I’m a Dork

In just a few weeks the 6th installment of the Harry Potter movies will open (Half Blood Prince).  Crazy that we’re already up to the 6th movie.  Seems like just yesterday that the Sorcerer’s Stone came out (yes, my days seem like 8 years).  Anyways, to celebrate the occasion, my wife and I have been watching the HP movies sequentially over the past week.  We watched Goblet of Fire last night and need to find a copy of Order of the Phoenix so we can wrap things up.

Funny to think back over my personal Harry Potter fan-ride.  Before the films I repeatedly mocked the franchise and refused to read the books.  Can’t remember what I based that on, but that was the case.  Then I watched the first film and quickly realized what I’d been missing.  I quickly read all of the books (at the time I belive Goblet of Fire was just getting ready to be released) and have been on board ever since.

Well, for those who have read the Half Blood Prince, you know how it ends.  I won’t divulge that here, but I can’t wait to see the ‘big event’ on screen.  Should be good stuff!
